No noise when not working only the wipers going. as I said sometimes it works and other times not. Plenty of fluid. looking at the fuse list are the wiper blades on the same fuse windscreen washer No 14. I see the rear screen wiper has its own fuse. do not fancy taking the front off, the missus will have kittens,lol Thanks for the help.
Probably should add that I've checked the relevant fuse, which is o.k., and there's 12v on one side of the fuse. I also just checked the voltage into the radio which measures only 2.4v, both with, or without the fuse in (that's assuming the red and black wires are the +/- ve feed).

The rear screen only works with engine running as you may know. Start the car and turn off radio and heater ect. Press the HRW switch and watch the light come on. At the same time, you should hear a click from behind the fuses. It should click each time you turn it on/off.
